Some nights are too fun and amazing to stop and take a ton of outfit photos and last week I had one of those nights! I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer for an event my incredible friend Mandi put together! The event benefitted the non-profit Fields and Futures. 

The swanky soiree was a festive night that required equally fun attire! Since I don't ever need an excuse for sparkle, it was an easy decision to pull out my sequin leggings. To keep myself from going over the top, I paired the leggings with a black peplum top and suede heels. A black blazer or plaid button down would also look amazing. These would be especially fun for your New Years Eve celebration!  These leggings are from last year but this pair, this pair and this pair are perfect too!

Christmas in Crimson

I had to share a few photos with Christmas Decor! I love this crimson poncho! With the mild weather we have been having, it has been the best alternative to a coat. This one is currently sold out but I love this one and this one! I went casual for a family Christmas last week and just paired it with my favorite jeans and wedge booties. Sometimes casual and comfy is just the way to go!

Casual Sequins

Despite the abnormally warm weather we have been having, it really does feel like the Christmas Season! I love driving thru neighborhoods looking at lights. This weekend I also did my first round of Christmas baking.

I think sequins can be fun, even for a more casual party. Turtlenecks are very popular this season and this classic cable knit is a great piece for your wardrobe. Pairing the soft sweater with the sequin skirt is a fun way to mix up your look! Mixing classic pieces with more trendy items is a great way to extend your wardrobe. It's also a way to feel more confident with something outside your comfort zone. To keep up the casual look of the casual sweater and sequin skirt keep the shoes flat. My personal favorite is a pair of knee high boots. If ballet flats are more your style, these would look great to! Either shoe option would work well with tights, A couple simple accessories and a bag is all you need to complete your look!

Updating a classic

A few weeks ago I had my Birthday dinner with my family! For my Birthday I wanted to wear my current favorite shoes, my knee high boots. I wear these at least twice a week, both to work and after work. This is my second season with them and I can truly say that as an investment piece they are worth every penny! This pair can be slouched down or I can pull them up and wear over the knee. 

 Sometime a subtle change can really mix up a look and that's why I love these grey jeans! They are a fun alternative to the typical blue denim we all have and love. Nothing goes better with black and grey than navy. This navy top is a really easy piece for your wardrobe! It is sheer but with an undershirt can be work appropriate (pink version here) Trading the undershirt for a lace bralette would make it a great date outfit!

Gift Guide: For the Hostess

Everyone has a friend that loves to host gatherings and get togethers at their house! Those people take an extra pride in their home and thus love getting gifts that are home centered!

This oil diffuser is my favorite way to make my home smell good. There are lots of oils in a variety of scents but my go to is always ocean breeze! 

I recently got these measuring cups from an aunt of mine. They are a great mix of style and function. If they don't inspire you to bake something delicious, nothing will! I also got this Kate Spade three piece set as a birthday gift and it makes all cooking projects a little more fun!

I love coffee table books and think they make great gifts as well. This one is by one of my favorite bloggers and I have it on my coffee table at home! Going along with the coffee table theme, a mirror tray is on every home decorator's list.

After hosting a party at your house, all you will want to do is relax! These mocassins and night shirt are a comfy way to wind down after a night with friends. And nothing says comfy more than a faux fur throw!

Just because a Christmas party is casual doesn't mean you can't have a special outfit for it! These corduroys are a fun alternative to jeans. They come in several colors and are great for both Fall and Winter. Layering a classic sweater and puffer vest keeps you warm but still festive! Although I love fashion, I am never one to take it too seriously! Ugly Christmas Sweater parties have become a trend the past few years and I think it is a fun theme for the Holiday Season! People tend to go all out to find the cheesiest Christmas sweater: some are cute, some are ugly and some are so ugly they are cute! I picked out some of my favorites for guys and girls.

So many retailers now have fun Christmas sweaters!! I love the more vintage looking ones like this and this. This one even lights up! You can pair Christmas sweaters with about anything. Keep it casual with jeans and booties or glam it up with some sequin pants and heels. These fun sweaters are a time you can definitely go over the top with your outfit!!

Winter White

A lot of Holiday Parties require cocktail attire. This white cap sleeve dress is perfect for those events! I think white is a fresh spin on holiday attire and this simple dress is flattering for many body types. I love how the lace sleeves mimic the lace cut outs in these red heels. If you are feeling a bit bare in this dress or any winter dress, adding black tights can make you more comfortable (and warm)!

As always, I love to add a little sparkle. This pave link bracelet is a favorite of mine! The chunky links look great on their own or as a part of your favorite bracelet stack. This bracelet would make a great Christmas gift!!
