Neutral Vibe

Sometimes my favorite outfits end up as happy accidents! This time of year can be a struggle to dress for. One day it truly is Winter and then the next feels like Spring. This constant change up can leave me uninspired. When that happens I stick to neutrals and layer things up!

Neutrals, when done right, are far from boring. Interesting details and cuts change things up! This look is something you can easily recreate with what is in your closet. Start with your favorite black legging or pixie pant and add a white tunic length top. To top off the look I added camel accessories. You can switch out the booties, blazer and purse to create a ton of different looks!

When I initially bought this camel blazer I didn't know how much I would wear it. It actually has become a piece I go to a lot. I like that it is a slightly more casual look than a black blazer. It is a great alternative to a cardigan over spring dresses.

Choker Top

I have a quick post for the day. I bought this top for a recent trip for Nashville and fell in love. It's a fun piece and the choker style is it's own accessory as well. I didn't know if I would like this choker look on myself but once I tried the shirt on I became a fan.

Red has always been one of my favorite colors and I love to match the heels and top. When I put this look together, I was thinking of a fun date night look!! Cute, casual with a little bit of sex appeal is how I want to feel on a date. Ready for a fun dinner or to get drinks!

What do you think of this choker trend?

The Quintessential Work Pump

I work in a business casual environment so I've worn my share of pumps. Finding a balance of the right shape, flattering point and a height I'm comfortable with isn't always so easy. This pump combines all of those things and I can wear it all day without hating my feet. If you need a classic pump to go with everything I would recommend getting the black or camel. I also think a leopard pump is a must in every wardrobe. If you already have pumps in classic colors, I recommend stepping out of the box with a fun color. Styled with your work wear, you don't have to be afraid  of color!

These pumps also go beyond work. There are great colors and fabrics for each season. I think everyone could use a pair or three in their closet!

Bootie, Bootie, Bootie and on sale!

This is the time of year to snap up some great sale items! Spring and resort items are out so your favorite winter pieces are going on sale. Booties are something that you can still wear now and into Spring. I wear them with tights when the temperatures are cool and then bare legged when the signs of Spring come in. I found some booties that are on trend now but will still be in style next year! Scoop them up now at a great price!

Pink and Red

It's that time of year again where pink and red take over everywhere! While I may not be a very big fan of Valentine's day, I do love the color red. I've pulled together some great pieces so no matter what how you are celebrating the day of hearts and chocolate, I've got you covered!

For a fancy date, nothing beats a dress that will make you feel amazing. This illusion dress mixes flirty and fun. The red color is just alluring enough while keeping it classy. This blush lace dress is another look!

For a more casual date, nothing beats jeans and a dressy top. I usually go for my darkest skinny jeans, add a top like this one, this one, and this one. Add a swipe of lipstick and some heels and you are good to go!

If you just want a touch of Valentine's themed color, stick with accessories! I wore these bow heels in this look and love the pop it gives the outfit.

Everyday K turns 2!

I can't believe that I have been blogging for 2 years! It's been such a fun, crazy ride and although I've learned so much I know I have so much room to grow! I can't wait to implement some new ideas I have and I want to thank everyone that supports this little piece of the internet. I'll be doing a post later this month to celebrate 2 years and share what I've learned!

What do you want to see on Everyday K? If you have ideas, suggestions or questions you'd like me to answer please post below or on my insta account!

My posting schedule has been a little off this last month. Work has been crazy busy and I've been struggling with my work/life balance so I haven't been posting as often as I would like. I'm hoping in February I will get back to my regular posting!

Now... to the outfit! Is there anything easier than distressed denim and a slouchy sweater? It's a formula that always works. This has definitely my weekend uniform lately, especially when I don't know what to wear. There is something about this time of year that I love to be comfortable but still keep some style! I loved this outfit so much that I took it all to Nashville this last weekend! It was the perfect thing to wear for a day of shopping and
